Learning Shop USA is the latest in a series of criminal investigation and security consultancies that began in the early 1970s.

The founder and operator is John “Jack” Fay, the well-known author of The Police Dictionary, Handbook of Drug Abuse Investigation, Butterworth Security Dictionary, The Encyclopedia of Security Management (1^st and 2d editions), Drug Testing, The ASIS Dictionary, Model Security Plans, Policies and Procedures, The Drug-Free Workplace, and Contemporary Security Management (1^st and 2^nd editions).

Mr. Fay is a member of the Georgia Association of Professional Private Investigators and was a 20-plus years member of the American Society of Industrial Security where he earned the Certified Protection Professional and served as Chapter Chairman, Regional Vice President and member of the Professional Certification Board.

He is a former Special Agent, US Army Criminal Investigation Division, Chief of Training for the Georgia Peace Office Standards and Training Council, Chief of Plans and Training for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Director of the National Crime Prevention Institute, Director of Corporate Security for the Charter Oil Company, and Security Manager of British Petroleum’s western operations.

Mr. Fay earned the Master of Business Administration, University of Hawaii, and taught criminal justice at the University of North Florida and University of Houston, business management at DeKalb Technical College, and security vulnerability assessment at Texas A&M.
